Alfred F. Jones. The man was your hero. Maybe not how he’d like to think, with a cape and superpowers. But you were pretty sure that his everlasting grin and personality had some supernatural quality to them. He was amazing, and you knew you couldn’t live without him. He made you feel like the only girl in the entire world, and could make you smile with just a simple glance.
And you would take a bullet for him. You loved him to death, and you told him that regularly. He loved you back and you couldn’t help but to feel like the luckiest girl alive.
But when it came down to it, you would do anything for him. Even if you knew it would hurt him. So as your (e/c) eyes widened seeing the eighteen wheeler coming out of no where, your only thought was to save the man at your side. You pushed him forcefully out of the street, just as the vehicle slammed into you.
You felt horrible. The large force crashed into you, and you could hear the audible sound of things crunching. Not wanting to know what that was, you just tried to keep your eyes open. You wanted nothing more than to see him one last time. And your wish was granted as the hot sun beat down on your face. Alfred appeared before you, taking you into his arms.
He looked down on you, your eyes slipping shut. “No! Please, please, _____! Stay with me here!” Tears rolled down Alfred’s cheeks and splattered on your face.
You raised a shaking hand and wiped away the saltwater trails coming from those stunning baby blue eyes. “I’d do it again, Alfie.” you asked, your voice no more than a whisper, your hand falling back down to your chest. “You’ve always been my hero... Why can’t I be yours?” you whispered as your head fell back against his chest and your blood started to soak into his shirt, the last breath you’d ever take shaking your small form. Horror filled his face, and you just smiled as the pain started to flee from your body replaced with calming nothingness.
“It’s not supposed to work like that,” Alfred said over you, feeling the life leave your body,
“Hero.”

America x Reader - A Hero?
It was late into the night, and Alfred was sitting on his couch, staring at the ceiling. In fact, that's what he had been doing ever since he woke up, not even moving an inch. People would try to get in to help him, but he ignored all of them, not even sparing a glance in their direction.
In fact, all he could think about was what had happened starting from 2 days ago…
~~~Flashback~~~
"Um Alfred? I have something to tell you…" you mumbled a little, twiddling your thumbs and looking down at the floor, blushing.
"Yeah (Name)? What is it?" he questioned, noticing that you were acting differently then usual.
"Well, I-I like- no
Her vision was clouded by tears of fury that gathered on the corners of her eyes but as the door opened she wiped them away with the back of her hand and looked towards the taller male figure, his usual smile turned into a concerned frown.
"something wrong (Name)?" he asked as he stepped aside to let her in, she walked in without a word and sat down on the couch in the middle of the spacious living room and tried to c
Hey, (y_n) you're always smiling and laughing. Walking together hand in hand, sharing our warmth with one another through this small affectionate way of showing our love for one another. Braving the terrors of horror movies with me, screaming when I scream, my fingers slowly becoming numb, but who cares?
I'm just happy that you're here with me, the same scenes scaring you as well. Trying your best not to jump when creatures of the undead jumped out of nowhere, clutching the fabric of my sleeve almost as if it were a lifeline, I couldn't help but laugh and call you cute earning a swift punch to my shoulder onl
What is with me and depressing stuff today? That's two depressing stories in, like, an hour. Whatever... I was trying to write this, and it wouldn’t come out right. I couldn’t figure out why for days. Then it hit me! Reader-chan has to die! It’ll work out perfectly! I have a sick mind...
